GOOD NEIGHBOR PARADE

Line-Up at 10:00 am  |  Step Off at 10:30 am

The Good Neighbor Parade is one of the highlights of the festival. We invite everyone to join in the parade or watch from the sidelines – whichever YOU prefer. Mayor Cooper will lead the parade and local bands will provide great music.

Neighborhood and community groups, businesses, and faith communities are encouraged to join in the Good Neighbor Parade. Wear your group’s shirt, walk behind your banner, or make great signs.

Healthcare professionals and first responders are invited to join in the parade this year as our Grand Marshals. Your amazing work during the COVID-19 pandemic has inspired us. We want to thank you for being the “best of neighbors,” by celebrating your efforts.

Elected officials and government employees are invited to join in the parade. We want to celebrate the work you do every day to make our community a better place to live, work, and play.

THE PARADE ROUTE

This is a walking parade. The route is a little less than one-half mile long.  It is wheelchair-friendly. Line up for the parade will be at 10 am on the road behind the Food & Beverage Oasis. We will step off promptly at 10:30 am.

COMMUNITY PARTNER

For businesses or organizations seeking to have more positive engagement with the participants, we suggest that you become a Community Partner.

We are actively looking for Community Partners who can add value to the Festival utilizing their skills, knowledge, and creativity. Some ideas include organizing and hosting the following:

« Contests (such as corn hole, pie-eating, frisbee golf, etc.)

« Activities (face painting, balloon art, coloring, crafts, bounce house, soccer             kick, etc.)

« Performances or Presentations (street theater, poets' corner, etc.)

We are pretty open here. This is meant to be something that would improve the quality of the Festival for attendees. Your activity can be age-specific activities or an activity for all ages.
