Opportunities to Showcase Your Nonprofit Organization
Good Neighbor Day celebrates
the importance of being a good neighbor and
making a difference right where you live.
We hope your nonprofit organization will be part of the DAVIDSON COUNTY Good Neighbor Day Festival on Saturday, September 28th. The festival, presented by Neighbor 2 Neighbor, brings together residents from across Davidson County for a day filled with great music, great food, and great fun. We anticipate over 4,500 people at this year’s festival, which will be held from 10 am - 3 pm in the Southeast Community Center Park (immediately behind the Global Mall / the old Hickory Hollow Mall) in Antioch.
Complimentary Space in the Marketplace
all nonprofit organizations are welcome to a complimentary 10’ x 10’ space in the Marketplace. You are invited to share your story and invite participants to get involved in your organization. Last year, over 60 businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies participated -- and they had an overwhelmingly positive response because the participants were looking for ways to be involved.
The deadline to register is September 14th.
Participate in the Good Neighbor Parade (Free)
Second, you, your employees, and your volunteers are invited to walk under your sign or banner in the Good Neighbor Parade scheduled for 12 noon. This is a great way to celebrate your employees and volunteers as Good Neighbors! This brief walking parade (appx. 5-10 minutes) will be on the walking path meandering through the festival grounds. This is an accessible path of travel.
There is no pre-registration for the parade, though all participating groups must check-in with the Parade Marshall no later than 11:45 am.
Advertise in the Festival Guide
Place an ad in the Festival Guide and let the participants know who you are and what you are attempting to accomplish.
The deadline for advertising is Friday, September 13, 2019 (No Exceptions).
