3 Opportunities for You and Your Neighbors

Show Neighborhood Pride, Build Your Team, and Possibly Earn Up to $1,000

The 2019 Good Neighbor Day Festival is rapidly approaching, and NOW is the time to consider how your neighborhood will be involved.

You don't have to do everything. We hope you will choose some of the opportunities that your group wants to do.

1
Good Neighbor Parade

Mayor-Elect John Cooper is coming to the Good Neighbor Day Festival and wants YOU to walk with him in the Good Neighbor Parade.

We are inviting community volunteers, neighborhood and community leaders, government employees, and elected officials to walk in this parade honoring your service.

We've combined parades and created one great parade that will follow Mr. Cooper's inauguration. Here is the new time:

ONE PARADE | NEW START TIME

Check-In / Line-Up Beginning at 12 Noon

Parade Starts Promptly at 12:30 pm

We want to honor you for your service. You are working hard to make a difference right where you live. Let us thank you for your commitment and hard work.

Check-in and parade line-up will begin at the Parade Marshal's tent in front of the Ford Ice Center at 12 noon. We need everyone in line by 12:20 pm.

Show your pride! You are welcome to wear your organization's shirt, carry a banner, invite your colleagues and members to be part of the parade.

You are invited to stay after the parade and enjoy the many festival activities. Mr. Cooper will be around to visit with everyone.

2
Chili Cook-Off & Tasting

Who's the best cook in your neighborhood? Let them show off their talents and win up to $500 for your neighborhood organization.

Some neighborhood groups have a neighborhood Chili Cook-Off & Tasting in August to determine who they will send to festival competition.
